Abstract :
Most industrial processes are controlled by proportional-integral-derivative (PID) controllers. The popularity of PID controllers is due to their simplicity both from design and parameter tuning points of view. This work implements a system for the temperature control in a didactic system. Initially a PID controller was investigated, adjusted according to classic methodologies. After, a genetic algorithm method was applied in the system. These instructions give you basic guidelines for preparing camera-ready papers for conference proceedings. Real-time experimental results demonstrated the effectiveness and usefulness for tuning PID parameters via this evolution process.
