Abstract :
Using digital filters and MATLAB software to find out the harmonic components, the work is based on using Butterworth band pass filters with the corresponding cutoff frequency. In this paper, the authors use the idea of using digital filters to analyze and compute the frequencies of the harmonics. The work has been done by using the filter algorithms to filter a sample of the input signal and pass it through a band pass filter related to harmonics frequencies as a fraction of the fundamental frequency. In this way, one can track the changes in harmonic distortion. The results are obtained in both the time and frequency domains
