Abstract :
Ultra Wide-Band (UWB) radar pulse-compression signal generation systems using digital techniques have received a great deal of attention recently due to their flexibility, repeatability, and wide range of stable operating frequencies. Unfortunately, the performance of generated signals is limited by the analog and digital components used in these systems. In this paper, a novel digital predistortion correction technique which adopts the addition of digital signal processing in the time domain is put forward. The principle of this proposed method is investigated profoundly by mathematical derivations, and the corresponding computer experiments are performed by using MATLAB language. The results demonstrate that it can increase the quality and performance of UWB signals considerably and satisfy the requirements of UWB radar systems.
