Abstract :
A very fast, high instantaneous bandwidth set-on receiver has been developed by replacing traditional silicon components with digital and monolithic GaAs components. It consists of an instantaneous frequency measurement module, a synthesizer module (serrodyne), and limiter filter modules. The receiver exhibits a 60-ns response time over a 180-MHz bandwidth while operating in the 7-11-GHz band. Very fast set-on receivers such as this one can track and jam frequency agile or phase agile radars.<>
