Abstract :
The research of robot fish propulsion system has been the focus of the underwater robot research field all the time and two ways are mainly employed to produce thrust: the body or caudal fin propulsion (BCF) and the middle fins or paired fins propulsion (MPF). This paper is based on BCF advance mode and analyses a new underwater robot fish based on three-joint crescent caudal propulsion system, which is designed from the angle of thruster. Compared with the previous robot fish, it has the advantages of high efficiency, high mobility and low noise.
