Abstract
Mathematical model for analysis of transient processes at ground faults in the ungrounded long-distance transmission line is developed. Calculations show that along the transmission line there are areas having overvoltage ratios more than in the fault area. Results are in good agreement with experimental data obtained at ground fault experiments in different areas of the long-distance transmission line.
