Abstract
Optical pulse trains from mode-locked lasers carry ultra-low-jitter optical and microwave signals. High-precision transfer of optical pulse trains to remote locations can result in large-scale synchronization of multiple ultrafast lasers and rf-systems. We report on the achievement of long-term (>10 hours) sub-10 fs accuracy in timing transfer as well as optical-to-microwave and optical-to-optical synchronization.
