Abstract :
The design iteration is one of the basic characteristics in the product development processes (PDPs). Considering the design iteration and the resource conflict simultaneous, an approach, in which the finite-state Markov model was constructed to describe the PDPs, was presented to evaluate the mission-time of Quick Response Manufacturing System (QRMS). With application of the first arrival time distribution of Markov renewal processes, an algorithm which can evaluate the mission-time distribution has been raised. The case demonstrates the approach to working out parameters in the model; and analyzes the weakness of QRMS.
