Abstract
The authors describe in outline the processing requirements for an intelligent collision avoidance system, and indicate how the system may be linked with an electronic chart display and information system (ECDIS) to provide paper interaction with chart data. They discuss processing for collision avoidance, scenario analysis, and manoeuvre generation, and outline geographic constraints
