Abstract :
Continuous tapers on a microstrip configuration are used like electromagnetic horns radiating into a two-dimensional space top and bottom bounded by conducting planes. Several tapers (exponential, parabolic, Chebyshev, and modified Chebyshev) have been used like impedance transformers between the feed lines and a parallel-plate region. Experimental results are presented and compared for different tapers and aperture widths.<>
