Abstract
The determination of interference effects due to the presence of a group of circular cylinders in a wave environment is important in the evaluation of forces on offshore structures. The present paper discusses the major research efforts made in recent years, in this area. Although emphasis has been made on the experimental investigations of the problem, mathematical models attempting to estimate the interference effects are also cited. Preliminary results obtained by the authors in an on-going research program are discussed.
