Title :
A Baroclinic Regional Open Ocean Forecast Model
Abstract :
A baroclinic quasigeostrophic numerical model of a block of open ocean for use with synoptic data sets is described. Other similar work is noted, the basic equations and boundary conditions are stated, and the methods for solving the problem are summarized. A series of test results designed to show the ability of the model to function with real data is presented.
