Abstract
A bandwidth management strategy for connectionless services is described. The intelligent network (IN) that will play an important role in B-ISDN (broadband integrated services digital network) evolution was selected as the optimal platform for implementation of the selected bandwidth control scheme. A fast and flexible virtual path network based on fiber optical spread spectrum multiple access (FOSSMA), supporting bandwidth management within the IN, is proposed
