Abstract :
This article presents the process of research and development of OpenVisionBot. The OpenVisionBot is a project for developing a platform for mobile robots. The mechanical project, the electro-electronics project and the software algorithms of phase I were performed in the Mechatronics Research Group of Federal Institute of Santa Catarina (IF-SC). The goal of OpenVisionBot is to be a platform with open technology that allows access to technology and design of intelligent mobile robot. The goal of research with OpenVisionBot is to disseminate knowledge in this field for the academic and business environments.
