Abstract :
The U. S. Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Chesapeake Division, contract- ed with Barnett & Casbarian, Inc. (BCI) to evaluate the present structural integrity of two steel platforms, off- shore Panama City, Fla. These two plat- forms, Stage I & II, were constructed in 1956 for use as oceanographic data gathering stations by the Naval Coastal Systems Center (NCSC), Panama City, Fla. This paper describes the development of the inspection program, the results of the inspection, the analysis of the structural integrity of the platforms, and recommendations of follow-up actions.
