Abstract :
The biggest overhead gantry is studied in this paper, which has the biggest span and bearing capacity in the world. With sub-model technology, the rule of the mechanics performance on the high-strength bolts is studied. Compared with the traditional calculation method, the sub-model technology shows its accuracy, validity and reliability in analyzing large steel structure as well as the conservatism of the traditional calculation method which can be enhanced greatly.
