Abstract :
A survey has been carried out of antenna systems suitable for ESM use and the following configurations, studied in greater detail, are discussed: low gain antennas (omnidirectional); multiple low gain antennas (unidirectional); scanning reflectors; and scanning or multiple beam arrays. A wide variety of antennas is available for each configuration but the stringent design aim reduced these options to a handful which have been compared for performance and complexity
