Abstract :
Loess located in Xi´an were collected. 13 schemes which in different reinforced layers were designed to study the effect of all-round pressure, reinforced layers, reinforced location and layer spacing by traixial tests under 4 kinds of all-round pressure. Through the comparison of normalization strength, it is shown that the principal stress difference decrease along with increase of reinforced layers .In certain range of reinforced layers and layer spacing, the principal stress difference increase along with reinforced layers. Through comparing maximum principal stress of the 13 kinds of scheme and combined with damage form of samples , it is concluded that there was a optimal reinforced position P where the meterial could be most efficient.Along with increase of reinforced layers, the effect of the plan which put reinforced meterial equably increased too, then it was explained by equivalent confining pressure principle. In addition, the data also shown that it was not the more and the closer reinforced layers the better, but there was an optimal reinforced layer spacing D, the computing method of D was given by us.The conclusions can be used as guidance for the loess reinforcement project.
