The work performed during the Archimedes ESA study included the following: mission, orbits and launch strategies analyses; telecommunication system definition; satellite payload and platform design; ground segment investigations (user terminal, fixed earth stations, mission control station); and economic viability. The main results of these different analyses are reviewed
