Abstract
Reports the results obtained from a study into the implementation and application of number theoretic transforms (NTTs) based on primes unrelated to Fermat numbers [F(n)]. The results demonstrate the practical feasibility of achieving high dynamic range with an n-tuple of small prime NTTs each of which support the same power of two transform length. Hardware complexity and performance for a complete NTT is estimated by considering the detailed design of aCMOS ASIC to implement a complete butterfly unit (BU) together with an overall system design
