Abstract :
The system designed consists of an operators´ console (for remote driver and safety operator), a central control unit, a communications system and a CCD colour video camera. A minimum of three safety features were required including fail-safe on loss of signal, Dead-mans handle for the safety operator and emergency stop button for the remote driver
