Abstract
In a recent paper, spatial regularization (SR) was proposed as an alternative to zero order Tikhonov regularization (ZOT) for estimating endocardial potentials from a non-contact endocardial probe. Here, the authors compare SR, ZOT and first order Tikhonov regularization (FOT) on a related inverse problem, that of estimating epicardial potentials from measured body surface potentials. For this test case, SR produced smaller average relative errors than ZOT but the errors were not as small as those of FOT
