  • Abstract
    Ad hoc network environment presents formidable challenge to the research of broadcasting and multicasting problems. In this paper we focus on the relationship between energy-efficiency and transmit-rate of the tree that used for broadcast or multicast. We developed the TAEE (transmit-rate aware energy efficient) algorithm for both broadcasting and multicasting in ad hoc network. We demonstrated our algorithm can increase the transmit-rate of the whole network significantly at low energy cost, which is extremely important in this environment
