Abstract :
Modern digital communications and signal processing systems require filters which satisfy simultaneous specifications on amplitude and group delay. A common practical approach to the design of such filters is to approximate the amplitude specifications by a minimum phase function and then to equalise the group delay by an all-pass function. In this paper a new computer method for the design of all-pass functions for arbitrary group delay shaping is proposed
