Abstract
The paper deals with interpolation of 3D ultrasound images represented by time sequences of 2D B-mode scans. The method exploits fast 3D dyadic discrete-time wavelet transform with Symlet (symmetric Daubechies) basis functions. 3D implementation of the wavelet transform allows zooming images with preservation of sharp edges for the following segmentation. The interpolation algorithm has been tested on images of isolated porcine heart
