Abstract

In this study the information needs of health care professionals taking care of Congestive Heart Failure (CHF) patients and the formers´ requirements for an Electronic Patient Record (EPR) were analyzed. Such an EPR is a prerequisite for a decision-support system that the CHF-clinic would like to implement in the near future. These information needs and requirements were visualized in respectively class diagrams and use case diagrams. The diagrams were reviewed with a cardiologist and heart failure nurses, who considered the information needs expressed in the diagrams complete for now. However, it is possible that use of the EPR will lead to a need for additional information in the course of the project
