  • Abstract
Quantization noise can compromise a digital sensor´s accuracy. A model is devised to test the theory that insertion of random noise prior to quantization, followed by averaging of the quantizer output, can improve the accuracy. Using the model, noise sources with three different probability density functions are tested.
