Abstract :
Under contract to the European Space Agency, Satellites International Ltd. has designed, developed and produced a variable rate demodulator (VRD) now installed in ESA ground stations world-wide. The principal specifications are shown. Satellite acquisition is aided by use of a 21-point Doppler table where the frequencies and times are known to better than 5 kHz and 50 msec respectively
