Abstract :
The 21st century is an era in which the human society is confronted with severe challenges of the energy crisis. With the steady growth of automobile ownership, the demand for oil has been rocketing up. Meanwhile, the consumption of fossil fuel in the transport field is one of the major sources of local environmental pollution and global greenhouse gas. Therefore, it is imperative that the change of the current transport energy be carried out. In order to promote energy safety, environmental protection and sustainable development of the automobile industry, in 2001 the Chinese government, through rigid planning and rigorous argumentation, launched the Special Research Program on the Development of Electric Vehicles.
