Abstract :
Energy plays more and more important role in the economy development. The energy intensity is quite different from each other between the industries. How to quantify the energy intensity is an important issue in the energy economics. Based on the input-output data from 1987 to 2002 released by the China Statistical Bureau, the author analyze the changes of energy consumption among 19 sectors of China and the nationwide energy consumption with the input-output model. The results show that the energy consumption of 19 sectors have different tendencies in 15 years, which reflect the fact that the energy productivity level was decreasing and the trend of energy consumption indicated decline in the mass.
