Abstract :
An investigation is made of the use of multidimensional search techniques as an alternate to the usual methods of filter synthesis. The method is applicable to both active and passive filter configurations. In the passive case, the results obtained from applying these techniques provide an entirely new set of filter realizations which have not appeared in previously published tables
