Abstract
A relaxation-based simulation algorithm is described for nonlinear circuits in the frequency domain. In the algorithm, the relaxation-Newton method is applied to the nonlinear algebraic equation produced by the harmonic balance technique. For the convergence problem, the author attempts two types of techniques. One is the harmonic relaxation with the continuation method. The other is iterated spectrum analysis (ISA), where harmonic balance technique is applied to every node independently. Two types of techniques for exploitation of latency for high-speed simulation are presented. The author shows the simulation results and verifies the availability of the present algorithm
