The use of computers in maintenance

The range of equipment maintained by the author´s division in briefly outlined. The scale of the fault handling operations and the functions of the repair service control are described. The use of computers in the administration, testing, and progressing of faults is illustrated by describing the LRS100T Line Test System which is used for remote testing of all customer´s lines on the public switched network system in British Telecom N. Ireland
