Abstract :
Nowadays more and more buildings, especially the malls and factories, need to be reconstructed to meet the new usages with the development of the city. In many cases of the retrofit, a new floor could be inserted to get larger space. According to the actual condition of a project, the issues of the safety of the structure after storey-adding are introduced in this paper. Finally, suggestions on the storey-adding R. C structure are presented, providing references for the similar engineering.
