Abstract :
A general decomposition scheme is proposed. It utilizes any a priori knowledge in a localized process model. By use of a multivariable (ny×nu) analysis filter, the observation space may be decomposed by (possibly disjoint) complementary transformation, where within each subspace alternative (possibly conflicting) constraints may be applied, enforcing known structure within subspaces
