Abstract :
When considering vehicles as communicating mobile nodes, two existing and independently-developed technologies are combined- IP mobility solutions and VANET routing protocols. Particularly, the handover of the vehicle between VANETs is supported by Mobile IP(MIP). MIP has the problems of which are long latency time, triangle routing, and packets loss. So, we propose a new scheme of global mobility management for inter-VANETs handover of vehicles. The proposed scheme supports the fast handover process using L2 triggering and route optimization for packet transmission. The proposed scheme has lower latency time and packet transmission delay than the existing ones.
