Abstract :
This study investigates the issue of quality information flows in cross-company distributed product development (CDPD) processes within the context of large-volume consumer electronics industry. Research focus and research methodology are developed through literature review. Through case studies, some failure modes of quality information flows in the CDPD projects were found. The last section lists further research needed.
