Abstract :
The Moire method is a new experimental stress analytical method that determines the strain field or displacement field using interferometric fringes produced by grating. The strain and the displacement are calculated by central lines of fringes while fringes obtained by experiment are blur and coarse affecting the calculation accuracy. To portray the lines by hand is affected seriously by the human factors while to process images by programming with software C+,C++ and VB takes a long time. Utilize MATLAB with strong image processing function. It is a convenient and accurate method to utilize MATLAB with strong image processing function. The article discusses the application of MATLAB in the Moire method through the open PMMA ring experiment.
