Abstract
In an effort to improve system reliability, CenterPoint Energy has implemented an extensive distribution circuit automation program. By strategically placing automated devices on circuits with poor reliability performance or high customer counts, CenterPoint has achieved impressive results. This paper will describe the devices and some of the configurations used in our automation program and discuss some of the results we have seen.
