  • Abstract
The multivariable control law design method of eigenstructure assignment has been in existence for a number of years. The object of the paper is to give insight into the method without too much mathematics, rather concentrating on how the method is used, and showing a number of case studies illustrating what can be achieved. The case studies use non-linear models of Vertical and Short TakeOff and Landing (VSTOL) aircraft and helicopters as a basis for the design, and show advantages and disadvantages of the method
