The operational ways to preserve traditional block in growing city

With the rapid development of urbanization, how to deal with the historical buildings has been a general issue. The key is to well treat the balance between the development and reservation, and the balance between the shape and the functionality while keeping the original scenario. A complete series of preservation measures should be established and implemented so that an elegant, harmonious and highly efficient city can be achieved. This paper takes the Xiaohezhi Street as an example. The detailed protection methods have been discussed in terms of the plan and design of the preservation of the historical building.
