Abstract
Considers the potential vulnerability of a typical SAR system by examining the effects of a worsening signal-to-noise ratio on the image quality of a representative space-borne SAR. The decreasing signal-to-noise ratio is produced by increased levels of background noise, with a constant radar cross section target. The effects on the SAR image quality are modelled through computer simulation
