Abstract :
The fundamentals of operator-algebraic treatment of two-dimensional (2-D) signal processing systems are established. Using several results concerning an operator corresponding to the impulse response of a 2-D system, it then becomes possible to handle the problems of analysis and synthesis of a 2-D system in picture or image signal processing
