Abstract
In order to improve operational efficiency and reduce energy waste of automated storage and retrieval system, this paper presents optimization ideas for goods location numbering and storage and retrieval sequence. Based on modeling and analyzing about single and double command cycle time of stackers, new goods location distribution idea is proposed comparing with the traditional one; by modeling storage and retrieval sequence and on the basis of improved goods location numbering, this paper discusses storage and retrieval sequence optimization algorithm. These two optimization ideas make the stackers work in order and reduce the waiting time and traveling time. It is practical significant of them to contribute to enhancing the efficiency and throughput of stackers even the whole automated warehouse, reducing energy waste and operation time.
