A new head actuator for high frequency band

Due to the recent improvement of hard disk drives (HDDs) for higher recording and track densities, head actuators have been required to position magnetic heads at higher speed and higher accuracy. Under these circumstances, we developed a head actuator of new type which would suppress the pivot bearing vibration which is an obstacle to accurate positioning of magnetic heads.
