Abstract :
The addition of rare earth oxide La2O3 with variable valences to Co3O4 formed a mixture of complex oxide-La2O3 CO2O3/AI2O3. This complex can be used as the catalyst for the reduction of SO2 by CO. In the fixed-bed flow reactor, experiments were investigated for studying the activation process of this catalyst and effect factors such as activation temperature and space velocity on the activation reactions under the following conditions: composition of the gas mixture nCO: nSO2=2:1, balancing with N2 and flow rate 120 ml/min. The microscopic structure, catalytic specific surface, change of structure are analyzed and characterized by SEM, BET, XRD. Desulfurization behaviors were investigated for La2O3 CO2O3/AI2O3 in this paper.
