Abstract
This paper summarises research findings about new internationally collaborative manufacturing networks from a recent three-year research project. It suggests that the global manufacturing virtual network (GMVN) is emerging like a new manufacturing paradigm demonstrating many fundamental changes. One of the GMVN characteristics is the combination between entrepreneurial innovation and manufacturing efficiency in order to achieve rapid business growth. The paper introduces the architecture and mechanisms of GMVN.
