Abstract :
This paper studies the supplier-buyer coordination relationships management in supply chain system based on empirical survey in P.R. of China. The key indices for measuring coordination performance of supplier-buyer coordination are divided into two levels: strategic level and operational level. The strategic level includes two basic indices: satisfaction degree and trust degree, and the operational level includes four group performance indices according to the four types coordination activities of supply chain, i.e., information coordination indices, workflow coordination indices, cash flow coordination performance indices and material flow coordination performance indices, each group indices also has different sublevel indices. The investigation shows that with the marketing economy development, more and more Chinese enterprises have the consciousness of increasing the coordination and cooperation in supply chain, performance in delivery, quality are increasingly improved, but performance on cooperating to low down inventory and cost not very well, trust and information sharing degree not very high, deep coordination relationships between buyer and supplier has not formed. This study is helpful for both Chinese and foreign enterprises to develop new strategy of operating supply chain in the changing market environment of global supply chain.
