Abstract
In this paper, design and development of a broadband dual linearly polarized antenna is presented with measured results. The operating frequency range of proposed antenna is 1.15GHz to 2.1GHz. The radiation patterns of the antenna are omni directional in azimuth plane for vertical as well as horizontally polarized waves for vertical mounting of the antenna. Antenna structure consists of a circular array of four loops connected in parallel and placed in horizontal plane and one dipole connected in shunt to above arrangement and placed in vertical plane. The antenna parameters related to impedance bandwidth and radiation characteristics are studied and these parameters are presented as measured results.
