  • Abstract
    The elliptical tube with rectangular plate fin, which is usually called double row tube, is one kind of basic heat exchange element for direct air cooled condensers. The research on the flow and heat transfer performance outside double row tube is of great important for the optimal design and safe operation of air cooled condensers. Under different frontal wind velocity, the 3 dimensional airside of double row tube is simulated; the flow field and temperature field are analyzed and studied. Data regressions show the equation of pressure drop and mean heat transfer coefficient with frontal wind velocity. It offers good help for the optimal design of direct air cooling system.
